How to Book an Online Tutor (Without Wasting a Trial Class)

Start with the constraint that actually matters: subject plus a time you can keep for eight weeks. Filtering only by star rating is how you end up with a great teacher you never actually meet.

Read two or three recent reviews for how the teacher handles mistakes, not just whether students liked them. Then watch the intro video if they have one — you can tell in thirty seconds whether their pace matches how you learn.

Treat the trial as a working session, not an interview. Bring one specific problem (a past paper question, a paragraph, a concept you keep missing) and notice whether they diagnose it or lecture around it.

If the trial works, lock a recurring weekly slot immediately — especially if you're booking across time zones. The students who make progress are rarely the ones still renegotiating Thursday at 11pm. GlobalEdu Hub is built around that standing slot, with the recording waiting if you need to review before next week.
